FEB WORK IN PROGRESS

Today a magical reaction between red wine and red dye #5 occurred!  I put a layer of red wine and then applied the RD5 on top of the wine, which caused it to separate and to also create a ring around the RD5.  The line is caused by a chemical reaction.  I am loving this!  I was trying to remove my hand from the painting a little more and this is just the beginning for this process.  I am excited to push this idea further.  I also ground up rose petals for a natural pigment today.  :)

contained series has gone BIG

With my nomad lifestyle, its been painting on kitchen and basement floors.  So this big guy has been the project that can be rolled out and worked on when I can.  It has been interesting to take the containment to another level, not only size but incorporating two natural red pigments.
